Homemade Birthday Diaper Cake

My nephew was having his first birthday and I had always wanted to make a diaper cake. I thought not all diaper cakes have to be for baby showers, or new arrivals...one year old's need diapers too! I decided to just shop around for an idea for a birthday diaper cake at the store and gather as many item following this theme as I could.

I settled on Sesame Street because there was a wide array of different things to choose for my cake, both big and small. I got things toddlers use, rather than the usual baby powder, rattles, and wash clothes. I went for the Sippy cups, silverware sets, and books, etc.

I had a blast making my cake using stuffed animals, bubble bath, books, table setting, sippy cups, socks, tooth brush set, wipes...pretty much anything I could think a toddler (and his parents) could use.
