I made this Black Electric Guitar Birthday Cake Design for a friend. I started with 2-12″ square cakes, lightly frosted and frozen. I made the template from a picture sent to me of the original guitar. I put the squares next to each other and laid the template on top. I used a serrated knife to carve out the cake. I molded tootsie rolls and put them on toothpicks for the tuners. Used airheads for the knobs, sticks from dip in sticks, and black licorice for the strings. I sprayed them with edible silver spray.
