Cute Homemade Bob the Builder Scene Cake

I created this Bob the Builder cake for my son’s 3rd birthday party by using some similar ideas from pictures on this site. I baked a chocolate cake using a 9x13x3 inch cake pan (using 2 cake mixes), iced in a tinted green buttercream icing with a royal blue shell border.

I tinted the icing brown for the dirt path and used Keebler chocolate covered graham cookies for the smooth part and crushed Oreos for the remaining dirt.

I used my son’s Bob the Builder characters for decorating the top. For the dirt pile in the left corner I piled pieces of the actual chocolate cake that I had shaved off when leveling it. I also used icing tip #233 for placing pieces of grass randomly on the cake.

My son loved this cake!
