Homemade Brobee Cake

My triplets turned two this year and the only way we could find to explain what was going on was by using the Gabba episode with Brobee's Birthday. They expressed their need for a Brobee cake, so I tried my best to accommodate them.

I used 2 puddings in the Mix Devil's Food Cakes, baked in 9x13 pans. I let them cool, then placed them on a sheet of cardboard covered in foil. I then placed them (covered in foil) in the freezer overnight. When I was ready to frost old Brobee I used one of the cakes for "parts"- arms, legs, cones.

I did trim the body cake to show some definition. For the frosting I just used the ready made container rather than making my own, but I mixed the color in with my hand mixer. In doing this I managed to almost double the amount of frosting, by putting some air into it.

I would say ultimately the party was a success, and the girls are still asking to see the Brobee cake. He didn't last through the night.
