Homemade Bud Light Cake

I made this Bud Light cake for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and since it's his favorite beer, I figured he would appreciate it much more than a card.

I baked two 9x13 cakes using red velvet cake mix. I traced the bottle shape onto the cake and cut off the excess (this is much easier on frozen cakes). I applied a thin layer of vanilla frosting and covered the cake in marshmallow fondant tinted brown. It took a long time to achieve the color I was looking for. I also used fondant for the bottle cap and the labels on the bottle.

I piped vanilla frosting for the letters and I decided to add a few hearts in honor of Valentine's day. I'm really proud of the way it turned out.
