Homemade Build A Bear Birthday Cake
My daughter planned her Build A Bear birthday party for almost a year. The idea for the Homemade Build A Bear Birthday Cake came from the Valentines Day Box one of her bears came home in.
We baked 8 8x8 cakes to create the house. We used a serrated knife and ruler to cut the roof. The decorations are all colored fondant. To get the bear shapes, I used the Stampin Up Build a Bear cutout and traced it on the fondant. I used a circle cookie cutter to do the roof, and a Wilton fondant leaf and bird mold for the nature scenes. We also cut 2 sizes or rectangles to do the brick work on the sides. This was great for hiding the fondant mistakes on the sides!
The cake was a big hit and my daughter really enjoyed her 5th birthday party.
