Homemade Butterfly Birthday Cake

My cousin had requested a butterfly birthday cake for her 3rd birthday, so I took a square funfetti cake that I'd baked and cut it in 1/2 diagonally. I cut little triangles out to better resemble a butterfly, squared off the points on the wings to give a more rounded wing effect, and put a Twinkie in the middle for the body.

It was covered in fondant that I flavored with almond extract and colored purple, then decorated with homemade lime green buttercream icing. It went perfectly with the Tinkerbell theme and the lime green and purple cupcakes that I also made.
