Butterfly Cake
I made this butterfly cake for my daughter's first Birthday. I baked two heart shape cakes that turned into the wings, the center is made of cake using the small pans used for cornbread, cut it to shape it into a body. Used gum balls for the eyes, m&m's for the decoration of the body and a lot of frosting.
The inside of the cake is made up of sliced peaches and "Dulce de Leche" (Caramel). I kept placing the cakes in the freezer to make sure it all stayed together right before putting the butterfly together, finished by using the colored frosting to add some design and the antennas.
And this is my master piece. Everyone loved it.
