Homemade Butterfly Cake
The easiest way to create the basic butterfly cake was to prepare three cakes in a 11x13 pan. One would be used to get the basic head and body shape and then the other two would be for two wings each.
The wings were basically four separate similar-sized hearts. I covered it all with fondant and decorated a little with those princess color glitter gels now available. I used bbq skewers to make antennas. Overall a definite success!
