Coolest Camo Gift Cake for a Military Man

I’m a cake decorator at a grocery store, I love when someone comes up and asks me to do something different. This homemade camo gift cake (for a military man…) is a quarter sheet [9×13 cake] on the bottom then I cut a quarter sheet in half and put it on the quarter sheet then I cut the 1/8 of a sheet in half again and placed it on the 1/8.

I iced all the cakes separately before I stack them, as you can see it is for a military man going overseas and this was his farewell cake. I used buttercream to ice my cakes because I think the color stays longer and it looks nicer.

  1. Your cake looks awesome but you cutting and arrangements of the cake don’t make sense or add up. I’d like to do this for a little boys birthday who loves to play army with his Dad but I guess I’ll just figure it out myself on the layers. Thanks for posting a picture of this great idea.

  7. As far as i can tel its done with a spray gun. I never received any information on this from the creator so im sorry i can give you anymore info. You can buy the cans if color mist at your local walmart or craft store usually and could make your own stencil out if paper or a light cardboard to contol the spray and over spray thats what i do when i have a specific shape i need (i dont have a spray gun yet). Maybe that will help i hope so anyway. Good luck!
