Homemade Candy Land Birthday Cake
My daughter wanted a Candy Land 4th Birthday Party so I ran with it!!! I made this cake using two 9x13 and two 9' round cake pans. I leveled the tops of them out then I stacked the two 9x13 cakes on top of each other then stacked the two 9' round cakes on top of each other then on top of the two 9x13 cakes.
I used the pieces of cake that I cut off to fill in any gaps there were and then I used a butter cream frosting to crumb coat it all. I put the cake in the freezer then I took it out the morning before the party so that I could do the final frosting and decorate it. I tried to use some candy that is used in the Candy Land game but I also included any candy that I had. I cut out squares of fondant and placed them around the cake (just like the game board).
