I used a Wilton cake pan to create this Care Bear Birthday Cake and made homemade butter cream icing to decorate it. I first did the sides and tummy in white. I then outlined the image of the Care Bear using Wilton’s picture that came with the cake pan. I used a star-shaped tip to pipe in the yellow body and the rainbow up top and then used a small tip to create the cupcake.
I then added details such as the pink dots of icing around the bottom edge, the “Happy 3rd Birthday” on the rainbow, the heart on the bum, and the nose, freckles, and mouth on the face. I used a tooth pick with food coloring to do the brown detailed outline of the eyes. I had a birthday bear Care Bear doll that I looked at during the decorating process to try to get the details as realistic as possible.
This birthday bear Care Bear cake was made for my daughter’s 3rd birthday!
