Homemade Care Bear Cake
This Care Bear Cake was a cake I made for my daughter's fourth birthday. I got ideas on the internet, I used two 9" round cakes and frosted them with bright blue buttercream frosting. I added the clouds with a large round tip. I used care bear figurines and placed them on the clouds and around the cake.
The rainbow is cardboard that I cut into the shape I wanted and covered it with different colored frosting. I attached the care bear on top of the rainbow with a toothpick. I added yellow stars, that I piped with a small round tip. Finally, I covered the cake with edible glitter. I also mixed edible iridescent powder with clear vanilla extract and painted the clouds with it to make them shine.
I was really pleased with the outcome and my daughter loved it.
