Coolest Castle Birthday Cake

I got this idea for a castle birthday cake from Coolest Cakes. I did a combination of two cakes that I really liked from this site. For the bottom layer it was two 9×13 inch cakes stacked on top of each other. Then two 8 inch round cakes on top of those. A total of 5 cupcakes frosted with sugar cones on top.

I used Hershey bars for windows and Kit Kat candy bars for the draw bridge. Hershey Kisses around the top layer. It took four cake mixes and five cans of frosting. Wilton has a frosting spray tint, so all I had to do was shoot that on and not have to worry with tinting all the frosting.

This was the first large cake I have made and it turned out nice. My son couldn’t have been happier.
