Homemade Castle Birthday Cake

I made this castle birthday cake for my daughter's third birthday. We had a princess party.

In total it took 8 boxes of cake mix, homemade icing with a total of 7lbs of confectionery sugar. The cake was huge. It was a lot of fun to make but it did take a long time, probably about 35+ hours of total mixing, baking and decorating.

I used ice cream cone for the towers.
