Coolest Castle Birthday Cake

This Castle Birthday Cake was made for a friend’s daughter’s 13th birthday. It is simple to make and comes out beautiful.

I used two round Wilton cake pans, one maybe two inches smaller in diameter than the other, but with no difference in deepness. Depending on the size of your pans, you’ll need more than one cake mix (this one took two).

Once the cakes were baked I allowed them to cool and made my colored frostings in the meantime. I made enough pink frosting to cover the cake and made blue, green, and yellow for piping.

When they were cool enough, I frosted the bigger cake first, and then the smaller one. I placed the smaller cake on top of the bigger one making certain it was centered before completely placing it down. Once it was on, I covered the small gap between the two cakes with more pink frosting.

Once the cakes were assembled and before decorating, I placed 5 sugar cones around the cake, one on the top cake, and the other four around the bottom one.

Then I used piping bags to embellish the castle! Very easy!
