Coolest Castle Birthday Cake

My daughter (Mandi) works in a bakery dept of a local store. Michelle, her cousin, was asking about the castle birthday cake available to order at the store. She liked it but was hoping for something more personal and not like everyone elses. Mandi agreed to create one on her own for Bailees second birthday party which was in a few days.

After checking out several stores to get ideas on what all she could use and decorate with, she came up with this cake. They wanted a chocolate cake with buttercreme icing. Mandi made two-twelve inch layers for the bottom, then an eight-inch and then a six-inch. She iced it with the buttercreme and used Swiss rolls and sugar cones for the towers which she iced using a bag and tip to help it stand out a bit more.

She used strawberry icing for the piping and made (pink) chocolate roses for decorating along with darker pink M&Ms. She put a tiara she bought on top of the cake in front of the third tower and used candy letters to spell out ‘Happy Birthday Bailee’ and put the number ‘2’ in the door on the bottom layer.

Everyone thought this homemade castle birthday cake was GREAT ! !
