Coolest Castle Birthday Cake

My daughter wanted a princess homemade castle birthday cake for her bday. I was like ok….. I wanted everything edible (it all was- except the princesses and 2 trees).

I made a huge sheet cake (butter pecan) and covered it with homemade marshmallow fondant and the filling was chocolate ganache. The main castle piece is two square pans of butter pecan cake with duche de leche (carmel sauce) filling and covered in homemade MM fondant and Italian butter cream icing.

The towers are rice krispies covered with butter cream and fondant. I bought 4 children juice cups from the dollar store, took the lids off and cut the bottoms off to form the rice towers. The top is also made of rice krispies. I used four waffle cones and made gumpaste roofs. I sprayed them with luster spray :)

The doors, flowers, path, windows, vines, and flags (that fell off during transport) are made of modeling Chocolate. I used piping gel tinted blue for water and bought chocolate rocks at bulk barn.

I was up until 5am making it :( … But my daughter and everyone loved it :)!
