Homemade Castle Birthday Cake

Homemade Castle Birthday Cake

Every little girl loves a fairy princess castle. This Castle Birthday Cake is super easy, believe it or not! I baked a couple of small round marble cakes for the center cake, stacked them together and sandwiched each section with buttercream (and secured with a skewer to stabilise it). I coloured pre made icing pink and covered the lot.

The turrets are actually jam rolls purchased from the supermarket bakery isle, two large ones, then some smaller ones stacked to give them height on skewers. I iced them with buttercream and rolled them in coloured pink and purple premade icing.

I carefully stacked marshmallows on top of each other in varying colours and sizes with buttercream (if I was to do this again I would use sugar glue instead though!), and added a purple door, and purchased wire butterflies and fairy to the outside to finish it off.
