Coolest Castle Cake

I searched and searched many sites for ideas of how to make a cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. We had a princess party planned. After looking at a whole bunch of other cakes, this castle cake is what I came up with.

This cake ended up being so easy, which is good because I’m not very good at this type of thing. I used 2 different size round cake pans. I baked four cakes total, frosted them with the same color and added candies (rolos, sweet tarts, Hershey chocolate, candy hearts from the cake aisle) for decorations.

For the towers I used colored ice cream cones. I stuck them together with some frosting and then for the top I used a small waffle cone covered in a light layer of frosting a rolled in pink and purple sugars. The doors on front are Hershey bar squares. My little girl LOVED it!
