Homemade Castle Cake
My niece was celebrating her third birthday and is obsessed with princesses.
I found a castle cake kit from the web and went to work. The top two layers (castle portion) are made out of strawberry cake. The bottom layer is vanilla cake. The cake is frosted with homemade buttercream icing.
This cake unfortunately took a heck of a time to make. The bottom layer is a half sheet pan and the top two layers are pieces of a half sheet pan.
All in all everyone was very excited for the cake.
