Homemade Cat In The Hat Cake
This Cat in the Hat cake was such a FUN cake to make & decorate. I baked 1 10" round cake and 1 11X15" sheet cake. I made a pattern out of a grocery sack first and then was able to carve my cake from this pattern.
I didn't want to waste cake when I carved the hat, so the left over cake became his bow. I used tip 18 for most of the cake and outlined in tip 3 & 4 the whiskers are pipecleaners.
I used red wrapping paper for my board to put the cake on & used cut out sticky letters to place on the board.
