Cool Homemade Caterpillar Birthday Cake

I used the Wilton Ball Pan, but instead of making the 2 layer cake I just used one side of the pan, which was easier and faster because I could bake 2 cakes at a time for this Caterpillar Birthday Cake. I used 1 Strawberry Cake Mix, 1 Chocolate Cake Mix and 1 Vanilla Cake Mix {2 cakes in each flavor}. I made decorators frosting {recipe on back of Powder sugar box}.

Separate frosting into individual bowls and color frosting as you go. I covered a cake board{bought for a $1.00 @ Walmart in the bakery} with parchment paper and placed the cakes on the board and then decorated them with a star tip. I used black pipe cleaners for the antenna and black tube icing for the mouth and eyes. And then I colored coconut green for the grass and placed around Caterpillar and then placed gummi worms in the grass.

I used wood letters {bought @ Hobby Lobby} for the name and hot glued skewers to the back of the letters. The cake turned out really cute and Brayden, my 5 year old loved it and so did his friends.
