Coolest Cheerleading Cake

This Cheerleading Cake was made for my daughter’s 11th birthday party. The inspiration comes from her cheer team- the cake is a copy of her uniform, orange, blue and white. The cake itself was a french vanilla with a butter cream frosting and filling and vanilla flavored fondant for the actual decorating.

The cake baked as a 2”, 11 x 15 sheet cake. I then split the cake and filled with the frosting. The cake was then cut to resemble the uniform. The neck, shoulder, and area after the arms end were cut out and the cake was dirty frosted. I colored the white fondant myself to create the orange and blue colors to match the uniform. A cookie cutter was used to cut the stars. The rest was rolled and cut by hand. The white stripes were excellent in covering up the seams between the colors.

The entire team enjoyed looking at and eating the cake.
