Cute Homemade Buttercream Cheeseburger Cake

I got the idea for this Cheeseburger cake from all the other cakes on this web site and I just loved it! My son is 12yr and has autism, and so I thought this year I would try and make his birthday extra special!

The cake is 3 layers. Top and bottom bun are made with Yellow cake mix and the middle is chocolate. All were made in a 9 inch cake pan. Top and bottom frosting was a mixture of white and chocolate frosting and middle was just chocolate.

Lettuce, tomato and cheese were made out of fondant. I used red and yellow squeeze frosting for the ketchup and mustard. And lastly I got the french fry idea from someone else on this web site and used sugar cookies and I took the squeeze red frosting for the ketchup on them as well.

Total time for this including mixing the cake batter was roughly 2 1/2 hrs. So much fun!
