Homemade Chinook Helicopter Birthday Cake
My husband is in the army and flies in a Chinook helicopter. My son has been obsessed with them since he was old enough to understand that's dads job. I decided to do an army cake but I didn't wanna do just a plain ol' cake like everyone else gets. I made him a Chinook Helicopter Birthday Cake.
I took 2 bread pans and used them to make the body of the chinook. I carved pieced out and made the windshield and added on pieces to make the fuel tanks on the sides. I then cut a piece of cardboard to make the base to set the cake on and made the ramp of the heli. I used cookie cutters to prop it up and then added the wheels, and all the decorations.
He loved it!
