This wedding cake I made for twi very good friends of mine from the UK – they got married in South Africa in a small town called Ixopo in the Natal Midlands. The cake is a chocolate pound cake, covered in chocolate fudge icing, with chocolate tiles around each cake. The flowers and roses are made from sugar, with gold dusted rose leaves. The Calla lilies are peach with the green leaves, with ivory roses, and apricot carnations – with orange tips.
