Homemade Christening Cake

I made this Christening cake for a baby girl's Christening. The cake is "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" out of the Cake Mix Doctor Cook Book. It was excellent!

I used the Wilton cross pan for the top layer and baked a 12x18 cake and cut that into pieces to make 2 additional layers, for a total of 3 layers. I filled the cake with butter cream and also iced it in butter cream. The daisies I made about 5 days ahead of time out of fondant.

The name plaque on the front of the cake was also made in fondant and left to dry. Once dry, I piped the message on with royal icing.
