Homemade Christmas Present Cake
A friend of mine told me about her Christmas tradition of making a birthday cake for Jesus and since I am always looking for new reasons to make a cake I ran with it. This Christmas Present Cake is just two white almond cakes made in 9" square pans filled with chocolate ganache and covered in buttercream then MMF.
Using assorted sizes of circular cookie cutters I just went crazy and mixed and matched them out of the green and red MMF. The bow is also MMF of which I formed loops, allowed to dry for a few days on their sides and then assembled on the cake using red royal icing.
The kids absolutely loved it! And so, a new family tradition was formed for us too.
