Homemade Circus Tent Cake

Homemade Circus Tent Cake

I made this Circus Tent Cake for my daughter's 4th birthday. The bottom layer of the cake is a 14 inch round, the base of the tent is 2 filled and stacked 8 inch rounds, topped off with the wonder mold shaped pan. I used a moist pound cake and filled and iced with buttercream before covering in marshmallow fondant. Everything is 100% homemade. The writing on the cake was done with an edible marker (by my very talented cousin).

It was my first time working with fondant, and I would say that it went pretty well.
