Coffee and Dounut Cake

I made this coffee and donut cake for my best friend when she was hired by the police service in our city. I thought that it would be fun to make a Tim Horton's to go coffee and a Donut as a joke, considering the stereotype of police and their coffee breaks!

For the donut I bought a Wilton ring pan which was the perfect shape to form the donut. I then iced it using butter cream icing and topped it with sprinkles. Simple!

For the coffee mug I baked another cake in a loaf pan and shaved off the sharp edges of it so it looked more round. I then iced it with butter cream icing as well. The cup is make from fondant which I tinted and then cut to fit my cup. The Tim Horton's Logo I drew on free hand with a red Wilton edible food writer.

I think this one turned out really well and was pretty simple to put together! Everyone loved it especially the guest of honor!
