Cool Homemade Bob the Builder Construction Birthday Cake

This Construction Birthday Cake was for my little boys 2’nd birthday. I baked a sheet cake (1/2 vanilla and 1/2 Chocolate) and cooled it. I used butter cream icing. One side I used tinted green icing. I used the “grass” tip to create grass and bushes. I covered mini ice cream cones for the “trees” (I used a leaf tip).

The “sand” was made with graham crumbs. The dirt was made from chocolate Oreo crumbs. I bought a set of construction machines from Toys R Us. Placed them on the cake. In some machines, eg. the dump truck I placed “dirt”

I used bright orange tinted icing to make safety cones and to do the bottom border. I used Chocolate “rocks” for decorations as well. I found the chocolate rocks at a local bulk store. I also had a tiny Bob the builder toy that we had got from a kinder egg and he fit perfectly.

It was a huge hit!! So easy to do- I would do this cake anytime!
