Cool Homemade 2 Tiered Cookie Monster Birthday Cake

I took the lead from cake #19 for this Cookie Monster Birthday Cake. The bottom of the cake is two 12″ cakes, then I layered two 9″ cakes on top, securing the cakes together with bamboo skewers.

Then Cookie’s arms and neck were two mini loaf cakes (for the arms I cut the loaf longways). The head was created with the Wilton ball cake mold. Used grass tip for the fur, black fondant for the mouth and eyes and the white of the eyes are Styrofoam.

For decorating I had two friends over to help, which made it a lot easier.
