Cookie Monster Cake

I used the Wilton 3D cuddly bear cake pan for this Cookie Monster cake. I used the extra batter to create the large chocolate chip "cookie" he is sitting on.

Once cool, I cut off the cuddly bears face to create a flatter surface for Cookie monster's mouth. I also cut off the ears, relocated them to the top and turned them over so that the bulging rounded side faced forward.

I used old fashioned icing with royal blue coloring and a number 108 tip to create the fur. For the cookie that Cookie Monster is holding, I raided my son's plastic food storage and added black chocolate chips.

The large cookie underneath, is iced with a little brown icing coloring and Rolos as chocolate chips.
