Coolest Cookie Monster Cake 45

The cake batter is Dunkin Hines French Vanilla and I added mini chocolate chips to the batter (notice the smile). I used two round 9 inch cake pans. I used one round cake for the face and then cut two side slivers off the other circle for the "football" shaped head. I made two cupcakes for the eyes. Everything is held into place with blue icing.
Black pre-mixed icing was used for the pupils on the eyes and the smile line of the mouth. White frosting was smoothed over for the whites of the eyes. I used two 12 oz cans of white frosting and added 72 drops of blue food coloring for the fur. I used a star attachment for the fur piping.
For an added element, I made 40 mini chocolate chip cookies to place around the cake.
