Homemade Cross Cake
I started out this Homemade Cross Cake with a plain yellow boxed cake. The cake was really moist and cracked in the middle so I froze it. While it was still frozen I cut the shape out. After it thawed I put a crumb coat on then frosted with homemade buttercream icing.
The flowers I made ahead of time. I placed them on the cross using a dab of frosting to "glue" them to the cake. I placed them to look as if they were draped over the cross. I used the grass tip to place patches of grass around the cross and placed some leftover flowers in the grass.
This was a practice cake because I had frosting leftover from another cake. I was happy with the result.
