Homemade Curious George Birthday Cake

My sister made this Curious George Birthday Cake for our son's 1st birthday party. She made the cake with 2 flavors, 1 side was chocolate cake with vanilla Bavarian and fresh strawberries. The other side was white cake with vanilla Bavarian and fresh bananas. That side went really good with the monkey theme.

The cake is frosted with buttercream frosting and the Curious George's face was done free hand, also by buttercream. The design of the cake was inspired by the invitations we sent out for the party.

This cake was beautiful and delicious!
