Homemade Curious George Birthday Cake

My homemade Curious George Birthday cake was a chocolate one with chocolate cream cheese icing.

The polka dots were simply candy melts pressed into icing. George's head, the number 2, the nameplate, bananas and yellow hat were handmade from home tinted fondant. The number 2 and George's head had toothpicks inserted into the fondant so they could be stuck into the cake.

I have been looking at Curious George cakes for my daughter's first birthday and this is the best one I have seen. Amazing! If you don't make cakes for a living, you should!!
