Homemade Daffodil Cake
One of my coworkers, who is a fantastic lady, grandmother and mother will be 75 tomorrow. She raised her grandkids as her own and is so lovely. She just had her adult grandson in hospital and almost lost him so all the girls at work wanted to do something nice for her. I asked her what her favorite flower was and it was a daffodil.
The journey now begins. First I was making small daffodils on a cake or so I thought. Here is my master piece. A huge lone daffodil. Using lemon cake and an ounce of triplesec I made a single layer. Then a shallow bundt and on top of that a cupcake. I iced and dusted and viola!
