Cool Homemade Darth Maul Cake

This Darth Maul cake was for my grandson’s 8th birthday. I used a Halloween mask as a mold for the face. The face is covered in red fondant and all the lines are hand painted.

I made the horns out of white fondant and painted the lines on those as well. Unfortunately I didn’t plan beyond the Darth Maul face, so I ended up putting him on a 1/4 sheet cake that I decorated in a psychedelic blue.

I wish I had planned a better background. Anyway, the kids really thought it was the coolest birthday cake ever.
