Cool Homemade Dirt Bike Cake

This Dirt Bike cake is a simple sheet cake. I used two boxes of cake mix, chocolate and vanilla. Colored my homemade buttercream icing green and tan and used the scraps from the cake after I leveled it for the hills.

I crushed some Oreo cookies to make the dirt on the track. I would use regular chocolate cookies next time. I had to remove all the white fatty goodness from the Oreo to make plain dirt. What a waste!

I love using fondant so I created a few characters to add a little ME to it. It took about 2 hours. I had a really hard time finding ideas for a dirt bike cake so I hope this helps you!

  3. Your cake was AWESOME!! I don’t think I could do the part with fondant. I’ve used several of ideas from the Family Fun magazine;and I’d love to try this one. Only my won’t be as fancy I’m afraid.

  4. Awesome cake! I am making today for son’s 3rd b-day. Next time you need to do dirt just pie the Oreo pie crust and it crumbles fast and easy!

  7. You can just use Oreos and crush them up on a food processor. The white creamy centers are invisible when you do that. Making this cake as we speak (okay, waiting for the cakes to cool).
