Cute Home Made Doll Cake

I made this Doll cake with a purchased torso doll from a local craft store. The skirt of the cake is a lemon cake baked in a Pampered Chef 2 qt Batter Bowl. I baked it at 325 instead of 350 and left it in for 35 minutes. It came out perfectly baked. I also made a 9″ round cake to place it on. The doll cake was supported by a 9″ round of foam core board that I placed on top of dowels I pushed down into the cake after it was covered with fondant. I then covered the skirt with fondant as well as the doll bodice.

The flowers were made with fondant and cut with a fondant flower cutter. The little yellow centers were cut with a piping tip. I put the doll’s hair in a ponytail and wound a fondant rope around it so I could secure flowers to it with a little water. I then dusted it with silver edible dust.

The words were just sticker letters I put on a piece of fondant made into a ribbon.
