This is my first time making a doll cake. I did the cake from the night before, I made chocolate and used the Wilton doll pan. I refrigerated it and the next morning icing it. I did not really know my design, I tried different styles on a piece of parchment paper and then applied it on cake. I only knew the dress would of been white and I had red & blue and green coloring. I just did what looked good at the time.
First I frosted the dress with white butter cream, then put the cornelli lace. When I finished that I found I can put some stars in between so I mixed the colors pink and blue and did the stars. I also did the bodice with the same color and headpiece. When I was finished I found it was looking incomplete so I added some roses with the same color. I used a rose nail and added it to the cake but I added some more petals once it was on the cake. I know I had to put some leaves so I mixed some green icing and that’s what I did. I had some green leftover and I decided to add some green flowers with my tip. I liked how it looked so I just popped it in the refrigerator for later.
I found for a first timer, my effort for this Doll Cake Idea was good. Everyone complimented me.
