Coolest Doll Fairy Cake

For my daughter’s 6th birthday she wanted me to do a Doll Fairy Cake and I tried baking the cake in a glass dish which did not work out. Then I doubled up on my cake mixture and baked two round cakes in the silicone holder (which is bigger in dimensions) the night before. I made the cake a marble vanilla and strawberry inside.

I made my icing mixture and iced the one then put the 2nd on top then shaped the dome dress with a bread knife keeping the curve from the top centre down. The doll’s legs could snap off and therefore did not need a long cake. I wrapped the doll in cellophane and cut a hole in the top cake for the doll to fit into the cake. My daughter wanted a fairy so I had an old butterfly which I used my glue gun to stick to her back.

I made icing with white wooden spoon marg + icing sugar + vanilla full cream milk + egg. When someone told me to add an egg to the mixture I was amazed at the result it makes the icing creamy and easier to apply to the cut cake. I took about quarter of the vanilla icing aside to make that pink and the rest of the vanilla icing I made purple and decorated with all goodies from a cake decorating shop.

I made the flowers around the cake with taking 1 x marshmellow & cutting it 3 times and sticking them down with icing & putting a smartie in the middle. Make sure you leave the sticky part of the marshmellow facing up cause then you sprinkle hundreds & thousands on.

My daughter was overjoyed with the result.
