Homemade Dorothy The Dinosaur Birthday Cake
I made this Dorothy The Dinosaur Birthday Cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I searched the internet looking for ideas on how to make it and different ways of icing. I found a picture of Dorothy on the Wiggles website and printed it off then enlarged it on a photocopier.
I used 2 rectangle chocolate cakes side by side then cut out the shape of Dorothy. I used green buttercream all over the cake using a star shape icing tip, and yellow buttercream for the spots. The hat, teeth and gloves were made from ready made soft icing.
I made black piping gel to outline Dorothy. The roses I made from ready made soft icing a couple of days before. This was my first attempt of these, I also used the internet to learn how to do them.
