Homemade Dorothy the Dinosaur Birthday Cake
This is a Dorothy the Dinosaur Birthday Cake (from the Wiggles) cake I made for the 2nd birthday party for the daughter of my friend's. I got this idea from similar cakes that I found on this sight and I tweaked it a little bit. The body of the cake was baked in a Pampered Chef batter bowl, the head in a soup mug and the arms, the legs and the tail cut out of a 9 X 13 sheet cake.
The hat I found at a craft store and added the flower. The teeth I made out of white chocolate ahead of time and let them harden and then put them on the cake. I used skewers to attach the head and arms to the cake. I was quite pleased with the outcome and to make it even better the birthday girl was able to recognize that the cake was Dorothy.
