Homemade Double Headed Dragon Cake
My son wanted a double headed dragon cake for his party, so here it is. I couldn't find one online so I had him draw what he wanted it to look like and had to go by that.
I made a 13x9 and 2 9in rounds. Cut one round in half and placed side by side standing for the body. I cut out all of the other pieces and laid them down. After I frosted it I decorated it. The wings are fruit roll ups wrapped around skewers and I cut a few pieces from the fruit roll ups for the winged effect, tongues are fruit by foot with a triangle cut out on the tip, spikes are chocolate graham crackers cut in half, toe nails are candy corn, snouts are a little piece of cake and then a chocolate chip, eyeballs are frosting and chocolate chips.
I used a piping bag for the frosting since there were so many tiny spots to go into. Plus, dragons skin isn't nice and smooth so it really helped to make it look more rough.
It took me about 3 hours total...that's including baking time. So not too bad. Thanks for looking.
