Homemade Dragon Birthday Cake
This Dragon Birthday Cake was from the Debbie Brown's Enchanting magical cakes book, I made it for my mother in law. This was the most enjoyable cake I have done yet.
This is made from three bowl shaped cakes, two for the egg shells one for the dragon. The board is covered in ready made fondant and imprinted using a rolling pin.
The rest is just sculpting really. You need to work fast when using ready made fondant as it dries very quickly. But the result is worth it.
Debbie's instructions are clear and easy to follow, I really had very little trouble doing this one, it can be a bit fiddly and time consuming to get the facial features just right, but you get there in the end.
