Homemade Dragon Birthday Cake
My grandson who was turning 9, requested a Dragon Birthday Cake. I was not sure how to make one so I told him I would make him another kind of cake. As luck would have it, I found the 1984 Wilton dragon cake pan at a thrift store. I was not sure what colors to use or exactly how the dragon was suppose to look. I had to rely on my own imagination.
I outlined the image on the cake with black icing, (Wilton black food coloring). Then filled in with other colored icing to have a two-toned green dragon with orange wings. Fire and smoke came from his mouth. I was able to surprise Ryan with the Dragon cake he asked for.
