Cool Homemade 3D Ducky Cake with Wilton Stand Up Duck Pan

This Ducky Cake was made for a friend’s baby shower. She was doing a Rubber Ducky theme. I started with a regular 1/4 sheet size cake for the base, and used the Wilton stand up duck pan for the ducky. The pan was surprisingly easy to use and I recommend it to everyone!

The duck was iced messily then decorated with butter cream stars. The eyes were made of fondant. For the bubbles, I rolled different sized fondant balls and stuck them on the cake. Some required toothpicks to stay. For the duckies on the bottom of the cake, I bought a duck cookie cutter from Hobby Lobby and used thinly rolled fondant. The last thing I did was make the banner from fondant and attach with royal icing and two very carefully placed toothpicks.
